Here is the initial meeting of U3A group of Chitwan today. U3A chitwan is possesses 100 members under one U3A groups.

Among 100 members, 40 members were present during the orientation program.

A discussion was conducted on issues related to ageing, U3A operation modalities and activities that can be conducted by U3A group in future.

The program was very beneficial in creating common understanding about U3A operation.

Council of U3As in Nepal addressed the meeting. Here is his report.

I informed the participants about national and international practices regarding U3A group activities and all of the participants were positive about being united and forming a network of the elderlies. The participants also provided their views regarding operation of the U3A groups including the problems being faced by U3A. The conclusion of the discussion program was forming U3A chitwan and conducting advocacy for the facilities of elderlies through network formation.

Various local newspapers and television were present during the program. The media people took interview of the U3A members regarding their future plan. The plan identified for the future are collection of the stories of each individual and meetings to be organized every week.
