The Asia Pacific Alliance of
Universities of the Third Age

 

The Alliance is an informal group of country representatives, meeting weekly by teleconference. It is currently run by a 'steering group' of six members.

The following aims for the Asia Pacific Alliance have been fully discussed and adopted.

Tom Holloway is Secretary-General of WorldU3A -- an international Internet and web service, based in Hyderabad, India.

He is the International Advisor for the Indian Society of U3As and also the Steering Group Administrator.

Thomas Kuan is Secretary General, East Asia Forum for Adult Education (EAFAE), and was Conference Organiser for the 2011 Asia Pacific U3A Conference in Singapore.

The Alliance is a member of the worldwide 'Pass It On Network'.

Dr P Vyasamoorthy is a Blogger, Moderator, Citizen Journalist, Consultant, Homeopath, IT professional, Author, and serves as Deputy Secretary General of Indian Society of U3As [ISU3A] also known as U3A India.

The Singapore 2011 conference took place on 8th and 9th of August 2011 . Day 2 pictures here.

The Melbourne 2013 conference took place on October 14th/15th at Melbourne Town Hall.

The Kathmandu 2014 conference took place on October 18th/19th 2014 at the Mirage Lords Inn, Battisputali Road, Kathmandu, Nepal.

Elsie Mutton is Vice-President of U3A Network Victoria Inc. Australia and Course Administrator of U3A Nunawading.

She also chaired the Organising Committee of the International Conference held in Melbourne in October 2013.
