Location: U3A Bass Valley is located in a rural setting about 1.5 hours south-east of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. We are very fortunate to have the rolling Bass Hills to the east and Western Port Bay to the west, providing us with beautiful beaches and natural bushland reserves.

Membership: U3A Bass Valley has approx 50 members.

Activities: Having a temperate climate allows some interest groups to be held outdoors, eg Gardening and Bush Painting. Other groups include, Get Creative, Histories of the World, Learn How To Weld (pictured left), Book Club, Movies and Theatre Appreciation, Tai Chi for Arthritis, Music & Imagination, Technology and Creative Writing. Personal comments: A great many of our classes are held at members' homes which provides a friendly relaxed atmosphere where members new and old, can get to know each other. When I moved to this area, joining U3A offered new friendships, sharing of information and the opportunity to continue to learn, like our 'Learn How to Weld' group on the left. .
