Details of Fawley/Holbury U3A - from Kevin Croll
We are a group which has formed from the larger New Forest/Waterside U3A and have just achieved 100 members. We meet every fourth Tuesday afternoon in the Waterside Sports and Leisure Club (formerly the Esso Club) in Holbury and have a speaker. Every first Tuesday morning we meet for coffee in the Club's own cafe.

There are about a dozen groups ranging from a strollers group to Photography, Art and Calligraphy. We are trying to start a Choir and Esperanto and Storytelling groups and any others that I can persuade members to organise. About three times a year we hold a skittles lunch which is
very much a fun thing and always oversubscribed.

I am the recently elected chairman and what I like about our U3A is the friendliness of the people and the wide ranging knowledge and interests of them. I encourage our members at our meetings to talk to anyone who they have never spoken to before - they may form a lifelong friendship.

My personal message: I would like to welcome any visitors who would like to attend our monthly meetings. The cost to visitors is £2.
