Ending Child Marriage Through Education

Child marriage remains an issue in many developing countries, many rural communities believe these cultural practices still have value; when coupled with poverty and lack of education young rural girls whose families are poor only have the choice of marriage.

The leading causes of Early Child marriage are; poverty, cultural norms and values, early sexual relations that lead to unplanned pregnancy and motherhood, and this includes rape and defilement victims given to away to their offenders who fulfill traditional requirements.

Education plays a major role in ensuring this tradition is broken, we help the children stay in school so they can avoid this vice. Encouraging children to stay in education and empowering young women with skills to boost their incomes reduces the chances of early marriage.

We are committed to giving children & youth an education as a tool of change.
